Update on school tax mailing error
The weather was gorgeous and Falcon pride in high gear on Sunday during the Ó£ÌÒÊÓƵ Booster Club’s annual Falcon 5K and Fun Run/Walk in Washington Park.
It was the biggest turnout in the seven years of the event’s existence, with more than 500 taking part.
Members of Ó£ÌÒÊÓƵ’s Junior ROTC opened the event with a presentation of the colors, and the Albanettes and Troubadours sang the national anthem. Superintendent Kaweeda Adams and Ó£ÌÒÊÓƵ County Executive Dan McCoy sounded the air horns that started the 5K, and the race was on. .
The Ó£ÌÒÊÓƵ High Jazz Ensemble provided great tunes for runners and bystanders throughout the event. Ó£ÌÒÊÓƵ High cheerleaders were on hand to support the runners and walkers, and the Ó£ÌÒÊÓƵ High Multicultural Club led a dance-off between the 5K and the Fun Run/Walk.
